Disco Racer Helmet
Zoom zoom! Hopefully it doesn't cause any accidents.

And so this time, the Saurkraut process actually started with cabbage seeds in the late winter under grow-lights. With 12 heads of cabbage in the ground early spring, some pest protection was quickly needed.
Harvest in the summer was a battle as the pests broke down my defenses, but still had enough cabbages for a big batch of kraut!
After a few months of growing and a few weeks of fermenting, I was so happy to eat my probiotic pride and joy!

Sauerkraut
I love food preservation techniques and have been making sauerkraut from store and market-bought cabbages for YEARS- the summer of 2025 I decided to try my hand at a home garden for the first time.

Birdie Björn
For anyone who knows me even a little bit, you'll have heard of my dear Polly. He can't fly well and doesn't like harnesses, but he loves people and being outside. So, I designed and built this cage myself with the exception of a few critical welds via the help of my dear partner. I can wear it comfortably and easily; it keeps him safe, secure, and the design minimizes his apparent claustrophobia. One of my most prized possessions for mornings at the farmers market, neighborhood walks, and even birdie bike rides around town. He was pretty scared of it the very first time he saw it, but now he climbs inside eagerly and enjoys joining me for activities.

Birdie Bike
Zoom zoom (again)! Hopefully it doesn't cause any accidents (again).
Polly has terrible road rage! Just kidding he hates the bike. Theoretically functional via a rubber band chain that was, alas immediately destroyed by my pro pedestrianization parrot

Wood-burned Butterfly Frame
I found this little frame in a craft store and thought the live edges were cute. Wood-burned this flowery, butterfly pattern and added a few highlights with white colored pencil.

Hanging
Grass Tapestry
An... experimental art form. I collected grass clippings and formulated a puréed grass mixture to be squeezed through a condiments bottle onto a mesh canvas where it can dry and then be peeled off.
Took a surprisingly large amount of trial and error to avoid clumping and jamming during delivery, while maintaining lengthy enough fibers to hold the final piece together when dried! I was inspired to decorate my walls with something from outdoors, so I included this picture where they are displayed in their intended context, in my kitchen.

Small Wall
Don't have great pictures of this one but it was too funny not to commemorate. I made this adjustable climbing wall out of plywood and the little holds from aluminum and polymer clay to introduce my bird to one of my favorite hobbies. He is a natural born climber (especially when incentivized with a spoonful of peanut butter!
